"Newsletter Unsubscribe" doesn't work

I have tried to unsubscribe using the "Newsletter Unsubscribe" link in the information box.

#1) Unsubscribe as a customer not logged in.

Subscribers to our newsletter are kept notified of new products, price reductions, and site news.

FROM HERE I CLICKED UNSUBSCRIBE.
BUG: IT DID NOT ASK ME TO LOG IN.

#2) Unsubscribe as a customer logged in.

The email address you specified was not found in our newsletter database, or has already been removed from our newletter subscription list.

BUG: Went to account and viewed subscription. Subscription still active.

Thus, right now this link doesn't do anything.

In your includes/modules/<your_template>/pages/unsubscribe/header_php.php file,

find:

// This should be first line of the script:
$zco_notifier->notify('NOTIFY_HEADER_START_UNSUBSCRIBE');

add below:

if (!$_SESSION['customer_id']) {
  $_SESSION['navigation']->set_snapshot();
  zen_redirect(zen_href_link(FILENAME_LOGIN, '', 'SSL'));
}

This should fix the problem. :wink2:

Well, I tried that code patch and I got a parse error on the first line of the patch. Anyone else have luck with this unsubscribe button and login issue?
