Temporarily close store

I don't want to loose all the SE rankings I have at a store but I temporarily need to suspend sales.

Is there a way to leave the store up but turn off the checkout?

I would like to leave a message at checkout that the store is down for such and such reason and will be open soon.

Re: Temporarily close store

Thank you that works fine.

Is there a way I can link a message to the to each product page that we are moving our brick and mortar store and no deliveries can be made while this is taking place.

Re: Temporarily close store

Add something to the header for that?

Or add something to the tpl_product_info_display.php that is displaying a nice message?

Re: Temporarily close store

Just what I was looking for...sort of.

Is there a setting that turns the store off entirely, with a "Store Temporarily Closed for Maintenance - Be Back Soon!" message for the public, yet I as a logged in admin still has full access to test/modify?

I searched and couldn't find the answer. Thanks!

Re: Temporarily close store

You can use the WebSite Maintenance and turn on the Down for Maintenance ... just add your IP Address ... this can be multiple IP Addresses if you need them, and only those IP Address(es) can see see the shop when Down for Maintenace is on ...

Sorry for a simple question, but how do you switch the Store Status?

Thanks Brent, I've looked there but didn't see it.
I found it in Admin - My Store -Store Status.

Store Status allows you to run your shop as a regular shop or with a simple flip of a switch you are now a Showcase ...

WebSite Maintenance is a fast way to shut down your site for periodic maintenance, close the store when needed for one reason or another, upgrades etc. ...
