Page 2, Page 3 etc.

Early on in my Zen Cart career I came upon a thread that told me how to shut off the Page 1, Page 2 in the information sidebox. I know how to do it in the admin section, but I think I commented out the lines of code somewhere. Can someone send me in the right direction to correct my mistake. I will forever use admin to turn these on and off.

Probably in your english.php file

You may have actually gone into the file:
/includes/modules/sideboxes/more_information.php

and commented out the lines ...

NOTE: if you were following the templates and overrides ... you will find a copy of this file in your templates and overrides directory:
/includes/modules/sideboxes/your_template_dir/more_information.php

This is what the code looks like for page 2 to run when the Configuration ... Define Page Status for Page 2 is enabled:

  if (DEFINE_PAGE_2_STATUS <= 1) {
    $more_information[] = '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_PAGE_2) . '">' . BOX_INFORMATION_PAGE_2 . '</a>';
  }

They are active in the define page status under admin. I checked in the locations you suggested and everything looks fine. Not sure what the heck I did.

You are sure that there aren't comments in front of those lines? You know the //

And you checked both the original file and your overrides directory?

I thought I did, but everywhere I look everything looks fine. I will keep searching and see what I can find.

Go to the Tools ... Developer's Tool Kit ...

In the bottom input box, enter:
DEFINE_PAGE_2_STATUS

Select the Catalog from the dropdown and search ...

What files and paths come up with this constant in it?

And you checked those files and there is nothing commented out ...

And for giggles you did peek in the Configuration ... Page Status ... and Page 2 is turned on?

Everything is set to 1 in the Define Pages Status. I rechecked the files and I don't see any // in front of any of the pages. This is weird. I'm not sure why they don't show up.

umm ... Scott? Could you go into the Tools ... Layout Box Controller ... and turn on the more_information sidebox? :unsure:
