Could Zen-Cart be a Classifieds App?
Hi all,
I am interested in Zen-Cart but not as a store but as a 'match maker' / 'Agency' type business.
The business simply sells by subscription to a scheme - only members of the scheme may inquire about a product via a contact form (to a unique email address) non members/logged in browsers are redirected to a 'how to subscribe' scheme (online subscription/management is not a must by any means but would be nice too).
.. a visitor sees a 'product' it likes, completes the form within the product view that pops a pre-written email along with the uses contact details - as per the membership data, to the relevant address - as per the product id.
It then stores the transaction in the customer database as it would with a normal sale.
- Does this make sense to you all?
- Does this sound possible to you all?
- Would it be simply coding a new product type + template for that type? (do i smell my firts mod around the corner?)
any thoughts or problems you invisage with this model?
