Image does not show

I am setting up product attributes with radio buttons and sample colors as JPG images, 100 pix square. It seems to be OK at administrative end, no warnings or anything, but the images do not show at the front store, just radio buttons and attribute title. What could be the problem?

I am having the same problem as well. I thought maybe it would straighten out if I used gif images instead. No Such luck.
