Newbie question about relative links

In searching these forums (as well as my own stylesheet), I find that relative links are referred to in different ways. Most of the relative links in my style sheet look like this:

url(../images/centercolumn_capsule.gif)

However, when I added a background image to my main page, the only way I could get it to display (at least in IE7) was this way:

url('/images/cartbackground.jpg')

My newbie question is: What is the 'correct' method to create relative links, both in the stylesheet, and in general throughout Zen-Cart?

Thanks,
Bob

Which directory did you put your image in? You have an image directory for your product pix that is at the same level as your /includes/ directory. Template images use the first format and should be placed in the /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/images/

Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

Re: Newbie question about relative links

Yup, I put cartbackground.jpg in the product images folder. I'm beginning to understand, but it's taking a lot longer than it used to...

Thanks,
Bob
