Paypal Order but payment method Credit Card?

I have only PPEC enabled on my site. One of my friend placed an order to test the website. He went through the 'Goto Checkout' and was able to go through Paypal and used his Paypal account to pay. Order was created successfully but payment did not come to our Paypal account. Order confirmation email states that Payment method used was 'Credit Card' which is not even enabled on my website. What can be done to prevent this from happening?

I have latest patch 'PPEC-137-patches-March21-2007' installed.

Please turn on Debug Logging and test another transaction. Then post the logs for review.

I made 2 changes before I tried some more test orders. I removed all of the Payment methods except Paypal and Paypal IPN. I also changed the call back URL on Paypal side to https instead of http because I have SSL installed on my website. After that I have tried couple of orders and not able to recreate that situation.

Any thoughts?

I just noticed the same issue. The transaction status is showing as Pending. Wheras paypal account orders go immediately to Processing.

i was able to solve this issue by uninstalling all payment modules besides paypal express. previously, they were installed but not active. hope this helps anyone with similar problems.
