Locale (french) Problems in the pages on the Paypal site

  1. When I arrive on the first page on the Paypal site I have this yellow flag: Enter Payment information. You have entered unsupported characters for this field. Current available languages characters types are: European, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Thai. Please try again.
    Yet I only use english and french characters... so ???
    But this flag does not stop the process and the payment can be completed.

  2. Which files do I need to modify to have the pages on the Paypal site published in French. Now everything is in english but my site use the french language. ?

  1. What version of Zen Cart?
  2. Which PayPal module are you using?
  3. If using ZC v1.3.7, do you have the latest patch installed?

    4b. What is the "language code" you entered in Zen Cart admin when you added French?

Thank you for your quick answer.

1- Version ZenCart = 1.3.7 installed april 11 2007
2- Paypal module version= I don't know, the global cart, in the french version, was installed by my server. I will contact him if necessary. But the IPN and the quick checkout are seen on the payment module in admin.
3- I will reinstall this latest patch, with fingers crossed because I really don't like those installations.
4a- Yes I have a french language pack intalled
4b- Language code entered= fr which I think is OK
5- Site URL= http://boutique-esomed-quebec.com/boutique/
it is in creation mode, not publicise yet, nor all security installed.

By installing the last patch for the 1.3.7 cart the problem with the french character on paypal disappeared. And there is a choice on Paypal to change the language to french or canadian english or us english.
