Having Problem with categories showing up

I've tired the Milhuna and the Red Passion templates, and both will not display categories on the side. The Red Passion will display them on the top but thats as good as it gets. I'm assuming I skipped a step somewhere installing them or something. Any suggestions as to where I could have gone wrong?

OK, looking at your site the classic template has the sideboxes...

When you enabled the other templates - did you also do this:

admin > tools > layout boxes controller > reset

As you have a new template - the DB need to set the sideboxes that are associated with it and a reset is part of the process
