editors - how do I avoid large spaces?

I am sure this is something I am doing.
When I post messages on my site the editor adds large spaces in my message and spreads it out so badly.
How do I get a nice message into my pages with out this problem

What are you using to edit your pages?

Re: editors - how do I avoid large spaces?

I have tried the editor that is included with zen cart. I have tried cutting and pasting from Microsoft word and notepad. It all looks awful.

Ok for starters NEVER use MS Word to edit anything to do with webpages because it adds extra formatting to what you are doing and the results are unpredictable at best. Notepad should have been ok but you are better off using notepad++ or something like crimson editor. You should be able to google either of those to find a download for them.

Re: editors - how do I avoid large spaces?

Notepad with Word Wrap on (to make it look ok in the Notepad window) adds lots of extra spaces.
Always turm Word Wrap off before copying text from it and it will work ok.

Re: editors - how do I avoid large spaces?

So I can cut and paste from crinson editor and not get the spaces. Should I have zen cart set on the html editor or just the plain text when I do this?
