How do I globally hide all product prices?

In ...

[ configuration | product listing | display product price/add to Cart ]

  1. What are the relevant numerical settings?

  2. Setting to zero switches off prices in the category list but NOT
    in the individual item listings; they remain visible. How do I globally
    hide all product prices?

Are you trying to turn off all prices always? Or only based on certain conditions?

I would like to turn off all visible prices that the user of the web site sees under all conditions. Isn't that what the admin feature I was using is supposed to do?

Re: How do I globally hide all product prices?

You are using a setting that allows the prices turned off in 1 area of the shop ...

If you have no prices and do not sell, you could use in the Configuration ... My Store ...

Store Status
What is your Store Status
0= Normal Store
1= Showcase no prices
2= Showcase with prices

OK, though admin wording does not make it clear. What particular area(s) of the shop does the [admin | configuration | product listing | display product price] switch off the prices in?

I think I need to to be clearer in my question! Please excuse me if I ask again.

How do I quickly & temporarily hide all the prices under all conditions at all times in my shop?

The settings in the Configuration ... Product Listing ... controls the Product Listing ... :smile:

You get this if you use the Categories sidebox and see a product listing ...

You get this if you use the manufactuers sidebox and see a product listing ...

You get this if you use the search sidebox and see a product listing ...

You get this if you use the search header sidebox and see a product listing ...

You get this if you use the Advance Search and see a product listing ...

Re: How do I globally hide all product prices?

NOTE: to change the whole Store to a Showcase with NO prices anywhere ... go to the Configuration ... My Store ... and change the Store Status so that it is a Showcase WITHOUT prices ...

poof all prices are gone and all ability to shop is gone ...

Aha, now I think I see where my confusion was. I'm not sure if you are in the USA but in the UK, where I am, it would be very common to refer to the display of a single item as a 'Product Listing', meaning a product that has been listed, as opposed to a list of products; which I think is what you interpret?

Because products are priced by attribute and I have 2 sets of attributes, the price displayed on the page is inaccurate, it is adding both attributes together to get a Starting at Price. I turned off the Starting At text, but the incorrect price is still showing.

So I need to turn off the price displayed on the top of the page, the prices are in the attributes. But Showcase doesn't work, I want people to be able to shop :)

I figured this out, I edited the product info template and commented out the section that displays price.

Re: How do I globally hide all product prices?

I am having an issue that I am not sure how to handle. I have a manufacturers products that I am not allowed to post prices on the internet at all. I have marked them as "Call for Price", and yet the price is still showing under the product name and above the call for price text. How can you turn off the price for an entire catagory?

Re: How do I globally hide all product prices?

Do you need the Call for Price products to even have the Product Price added?

If not, don't add them ...

Or, do you need to add them for your own purposes?
