two index pages needed - help!

l have searched everyhere on the forum but can't find a solution... how do l create two index pages for a cart? l am using it as a wholesale store, and have got both the admin switches set to:

Customer must be approved to shop
2= May browse but no prices unless logged in

and

Customer Approval Status - Authorization Pending
Customer must be Authorized to shop
2= May browse but no prices unless Authorized

What l have seen done elsewhere (and it may be a custom mod, l am not sure) is that when they are not authorised or logged in, they see a general 'welcome to the store' index page, with details on how to register for a wholesale account.

BUT, when they are authorised and also logged in, they see an index page which shows them a different message altogether, more along the lines of 'welcome to the store, would you like to see our new products', along with all of the sideboxes etc, custom images inserted by the wholesaler etc, details of new lines.

l can see how l can remove sideboxes by changing the switch in admin, but how do l make the index page display different content as well?
