all links in site missing 'www'

Hi there,

Let me start by saying that I am very novice at this (so far) so could you kindly keep any answers suggestions in plain English?!?

I have just started setting up this shop http://www.2degreesclothing.com and I am running into a few difficulties.

I have just had an SSL certificate installed to the domain name of www.2degreesclothing.com. The ploblem is that the all of the links in the site seem to point to http://2degreesclothing.com (missing out the 'www') by doing this, any potential customers will be leaving the secure site. Is there any way to change this?

Many thanks in advance.

Mart

Re: all links in site missing 'www'

have to get a bit technical I'm afraid.
First check your /admin/includes/configure.php and /includes/configure.php. near the top, where it says define(HTTP_SERVER and HTTPS_SERVER, does it say http://2degrees or http://www.2degrees. If it is the first, add the www, and see what happens. Any disasters, change it back.
Secondly, it depends how your web site is set up on the server. Normally the server is set up as either https://www.mydomain.com or mydomain.com, with an alias for the other one. i.e. it will respond to either.
Equally, the nameserver for your domain, which is either where you registered/bought the domain, or with your hosting company, should have entries for both mydomain.com and https://www.mydomain.com, both pointing at your web site.
It is also possible to do aliasing and address rewriting from the name servers, as well as in the .htaccess files, but lets not get too complicated.

Hope that helps?

I tried changing the 'configure.php' file but this didn't seem to do anything. If I click on any internal links such as 'checkout' it still links to a page without the 'www'.

As a note - I just installed a fresh zen-cart in another location on my server (the original one was installed automatically using 'Fantastico' in my cpanel) and this one seems to link correctly. I think that I may be better using this fresh install.
