unsure ....

if this is zencart or my cpanel.

I have had an email come through saying that my inbox at [email protected] is full.

I have all mail redirected to my personal inbox so how can this be full, where is it, and how do I empty it?

Thanks in advance

This would be set/altered via your DOMAIN control panel, not zencart.
Suggest you contact your webhost for support on this issue..

Re: unsure ....

Even if the email is redirected to another email address, a copy could be kept in the mail box of the original email. In other words, the email address you have listed in ZC is [email protected] which is redirected to [email protected]. A copy of the email likely resides in both [email protected] AND [email protected]. Check [email protected] and delete whatever needs to be deleted.

Re: unsure ....

I have several email addresses that I redirect to my work address. There's always a copy of each email at the original address PLUS the one I get at work. Check the mailbox for the address the emails are actually addressed to. To reuse my earlier example, the emails are addressed to [email protected] and are redirected to [email protected]. I see them at [email protected], but they are still stored at [email protected], so I have to go into the [email protected] mail box and delete whatever I don't need or I will eventually get a warning that the [email protected] mailbox is getting full.

Re: unsure ....

Where it is, is between you and your web host. It's not part of Zen Cart.

The link to Zen Cart is that you have put this address in clear text on your contact page. This is not a good idea. There are robots that scour the net looking for email addresses on contact pages so that they can sell them to spammers, so that they can bombard you with unpleasant "offers". This is probably why that mailbox has gotten full.

You don't need an email address on that page. You already have a contact form there. I'd take it off ASAP, though the email address may be virtually unusable now.

Your hosting service should have sent you information about how to acces your email. There is usually a link from CPanel, but that often only allows you to check the basic email address for the domain and not any additional email addresses you have created.

Re: unsure ....

It may also be that your web host has created a few generic email addresses such as sales, info, support, etc. as part of setting you up and that you have been unlucky enough to direct a load of unwanted mail there. It's even possible - since it's on your contact page - that your prospective or actual customers are trying to contact you on it ...

How do I remove the address from my contact page?

Re: unsure ....

cpanel webmail can be accessed through cpanel or at your domain name.com:2095 with the email address as the username and the password that you setup when you started the email accounts

c-panel dosnt require an account to forward
but if you create fred@ as an email address then redirect fred@ then c-panel will store the email on the server it does NOT delete from the server when it forwards,

however you can avoid this by NOT creating an address in cpanel called fred@

you can choose to just forward all emil from fred@ to the new address and its al virtuial
