Revolving Charges W/Out Storing Credit Card Info?

I would like to be able to sell some items on a recurring basis without requiring the customer to come back to the web store and reorder each time. Something similar to a subscription where we just ding their credit card info whenever it is time to purchase more product (not always the same amount, and not always the same interval - some customers will need to buy more items more frequently than others).

I know that ZenCart does not store cc numbers in the database at present, so I can't just grab a stored number somewhere and process a new order programmatically.

What solutions exist out there for doing this?

Check with your Merchant Services provider - some of them have recurring charges available, but you will not have those orders in your ZC admin as we are not set up for them at the moment.

I happen to use Authorize.net, and they offer a "rebill" feature wherein I can access my Authorize.net account, view prior transactions (w/in the last 90 days) and re-submit the same billing information with a different amount for a new transaction. However, I don't see any integration of this feature into the Authorize.net extension of ZenCart.

Has anyone ever used this before? Would it be hard to add?
