General question about upgrading Admin area

Ok, I have done my fair share of reading on how to customize the Zen-Cart front end the CORRECT way with the over-ride, but how does this apply in the Admin section???

I I am looking to ad a MOD for the Admin (Improved Whos Online for instance) how will this impact me when the next version of Zen comes out and I want to upgrade?

Do most of the MODS for the Admin section involve new files or are they updates to the core Admin files?

I am just trying to make sure I do it right before I start adding some of the nice Admin MODS that are available.

There are no overrides at this time for the Admin ...

NOTE: there are handles or hooks to add new programs to the menus ...

A good example is in the Downloads ... Admin Tools ... Backup MySQL ...

This is a fully plug-n-play add-on for the Admin that will auto appear on the Tools menu after it is installed without touching any core files ... :smile:

Okay, I will try and limit the amount of changes I add then for the Admin section. Thanks for the help.
