showing available quantities of attributes

Which attribute module contribution (if any) allows the customer to see the quantity available and limits their purchases to that same quantity?

In other words, if I've got 20 different scents of soap bars to buy, but only one of scent A and 3 of scent B etc...how does the customer know?
I don't want them to find out when they try to buy 6 and get an error message becase there are only 5.

I currently have the most recent version of zen cart and I use the most recent version of the "attributes separate stock" module. and to my knowledge, it does not offer this method of purchase.

It also lets me buy 5 of scent B that has only 3 in stock, because there are a total of 100 bars of all flavors available. How can I fix this?

Thanks!

-meg

Re: showing available quantities of attributes

I think a bigger question (for me) is - does osCommerce support this attribute stock functionality? This is the only thing that is making Zen Cart unusable for me. I'm not trying to complain about a free product (especially one that I love otherwise), but the demand for this functionality is HUGE.

It would be helpful to have some sort of indication when v1.4 might be released so I (and others) can plan which store software to use, but I doubt we'll get that info anytime soon as it's understandably difficult to pin down open source developing schedules.
