Help with category icons!

Hello, I recently disabled category icon by doing:

.categoryicon {display: none}

I didn't like the fact that I had a category icon on every product listing. However this seems to disable category icon for good for the entire website.

Is there any way to keep category icon when you're browsing a main category?

So for instance if I had a category named "DVD", once I click on DVD I would like to see icons of Action, Romance, Drama, etc.

But right now if i click on DVD, there is no category icons or any links in the body, so instead people will have to rely on the left sidebox.

DVD
_| Action
_| Romance
_| Drama

So is there any way to keep category icon only for certain pages but not for product listings? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Remove your css line first - then in the admin > config > productlisting >
Include Product Listing Sub Categories Image
Include Product Listing Top Categories Image

Set these and see if that helps

Hmm that didn't seem to work. I've searched the forums and didn't find anything.

This is where I want the sub-categories to be listed in the center body, 3 per row and with a name and the category icon.

But I don't want it to display anywhere else, especially not in the product listing cause I find it a bit too awkward.

If you have made an edit please back it out so that we can see the issue - as now we can see nothing

Sorry about that,

I realize that it is the option
Show SubCategories on Main Page while navigating
Currently it is set to one.

So if you click on a category that has subcategories, you'll be presented with the subcategory + link in the main page.

Once you're in the subcategories, everything is fine because you don't see the category icon on top, however once you click into a specific item, the category icons appears on the top of the main page.

Ideally what I want to do is to have those category icon ONLY when you click on a category, and not display anywhere else. I've played around in the code and the admin settings a bit, but with no success.

Ok I think I fixed it, I think you were right about the other 2 admin settings.

These 2 really helped. Sorry to trouble you, I'm still new to zencart and web coding in general. Hard to tell whether something can be done within the admin settings or some things that has to be done in CSS.
