Lotsa problems with front page

Hi there,

First i needed a front page to my store.

tried with the htaccess file to redirect the index.php to splashpage.php but each time i changed the currency on the index.php page, it redirected me towards the splash page, which was not what i wanted.

So i decided to move all my files to a folder called store, on my root level. Outside the store folder, i only have the splashpage.php file renamed index.php.

Of course, i changed the 2 configure.php files accordingly. I may have made some errors though, so i'll join the file here.

Now, all the links to my ezpages and other products pages are broken. When i click whatever ezpages link, funny enough, it brings me back to the splashpage.php file. I dont get it.

I need to fix this fast.

Does anyone can help me with this hell of a problem?

thanks

Re: Lotsa problems with front page

It looks like your shop is in the root of your server and not in the subdirectory ...

Did you change your htaccess again?

Re: Lotsa problems with front page

thanks for answering Ajeh.

So how can you tell that you think my shop is in the root rather than in the store subdirectory?

And Afo, yes, i've corrected the htaccess file and it is now like it was before.

Re: Lotsa problems with front page

I only asked because I know how easy it is to miss the obvious. I've done it enough times myself.

If I go to your domain I appear to get your shop ...

If I go to /store I get an empty directory ...

Re: Lotsa problems with front page

oh yes, that's because i couldnt let the site broken so i just reverted the problem back to normal.

As you've seen, there is no splash page to the site...

I dont have a test site for this one so, ideally, i'd have to know the answer to the problem before changing anything.

Re: Lotsa problems with front page

Now, my entire shop is back in the store folder and the only files that are on my root is the splashPage.php named splashPage.php.

Also, i've created a .htaccess file on the root that set the directoryIndex to splashPage.php.

In the store folder, there is an .htaccess files that set the directoryIndex to store/index.php.

So here is the error message displayed when i request any of my ezpages or links.

The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Seems like when requested, the links to the ezpages are calling index.php while they are supposed to called for store/index.php.

try and see here mahadevidesign.com

Here is my configure.php file:
