Product listing layout in category

I just accidentally posted this question in the wrong forum so I am re-posting here.

Ok... I give up. It seems like it should be simple but I can't figure it out. I've looked all over the FAQ, the forum, and the mod downloads. I would like to configure the spacing and layout of the products listed after you click on a category. I would like to configure it similar to the layout on the new products, or featured products pages. Currently my images are stacked close together and the new products page has a horizontal rule in between. I would imagine it to be controlled somewhere in the CSS but cannot find where. HELP

Re: Product listing layout in category

The URL is http://www.creativedesignproducts.net/zcstore/ I just can't find it in the CSS Style sheet. I thought it would be .categoryListBoxContents but apparently it is not. I would just like to be able to control the padding, margin spacing or whatever around the text, images and buttons on the category page and new listing page.

Re: Product listing layout in category

Try this and adjust as you want - you could do a margin in place of the padding

.productListing-data {
        padding: .5em;
        border-top: 1px solid #000000;
        border-bottom: 1px solid #000000;
        }

This for the product listing pages

NICE! I knew it was something like that but couldn't figure out which rule name it was. Thank you.

Now we're talkin'! Very cool! Just downloaded and messed around with it a bit. I'm kinda new to all this, but I'm a quick study. There are just so many tools out there. Thanks again.

ardvark, and the tidy validator can be useful also and there are many others

And always design in the most compliant browser available and then fix the IE quirks -

Just because most use IE - does not make it the de-facto standard

Re: Product listing layout in category

Ya know Zen Cart has taken me much longer to learn given it being open source but it really has more customizing abilities and it's well worth it. That tip you gave me with firefox will really come in handy and people like you with 5k+ posts are the reason open source works. I'll be sure to pass on the help to someone else one day.
