Gift voucher query

Hi there

Any idea how I would go about doing this?

1. Customer purchases a gift voucher for $65.00

2. After payment, gift voucher is emailed to customer as a PDF file, with a unique identifying number (would like PDF file to be a custom design with images, and pulling in customer's name, product and quantity purchased, date and $ amount)

3. Amount of gift voucher is not to show in customer's account as being able to be emailed.

Basically, I want to only sell gift vouchers which the customer will receive via email. They will not be able to redeem them online. They must print out the email and bring to our location to redeem.

Is this possible?

You send the GV to yourself and use that Redemption code in the PDF ...

Now first person to claim it gets it ...

What I am looking for is a way to automate this.

Currently we have a manual process (read take phone call, process cc, create voucher manually, email to customer).

I want customers to be able to do this themselves, ie purchase a gift voucher, and then receive their personalised voucher via email, without my staff having to touch it.

Is this at all possible, and if so, how do I do it?

I could probably automate all of this except I am unsure how to create the actual PDF with the new GV code ...

This would take some additional coding as you probably want regular Gift Certificates to be able to be purchased and to be able to send from the Admin Gift Certificates in addition to making these files ...
