Copying one site to another.

I'm attempting to make a duplicate of Birdoasis.com at https://www.birdersbinoculars.com

The idea is to have the birdersbinocualars.com focus on the binoculars that we sell by featuring only the binoculars, and have articles about the binoculars.

However I've copied the files, and edited the configure.php file in /includes/ and in /admin/includes/ to have the right domain name, paths, and usernames for mysql.

However when I attempt to go to the admin folder I get an 404 error because the site can't be found.

What am I missing?

Thanks.

JP

Re: Copying one site to another.

Is this the right directory?
/home/birdersb/public_html/bmz_cache

If so, is it set with the right permissions?

Re: Copying one site to another.

I think that's the cache for imagehandler2.

It's not the admin folder.

I wonder if it's because i have the SSL path set when I don't have a SSL for this one yet.

hmmmmmmmm.

Re: Copying one site to another.

I get errors on your Catalog ... anything to do with images has a problem with that directory ...

Either you are calling the wrong directory or it needs different permissions ...

Turn off the SSL for both as that is really having a bit of a fit ...

Re: Copying one site to another.

Yes,

I'm just going to reinstall. It thought the bmz cache would recreate itself, but I guess I was wrong about that.

I'm thinking it would be better to just reinstall, but keep first put the images in another folder so that it would be faster to move them there.

But this means I have to reinstall all the mods as well. Oh well. I'll try it again.

thanks,

JP
