Downloadable Product Error when Customer trys to Download
FYI, some downloading problems are caused by GZip compression errors, although i don't knwo if this is one of them.
Try turning GZip compression off, with a value of 0. under Configuration --> enable GZip Configuration. I butted my head against this for hours, personally, and when I set this, the downloads all started working again. Argh. Either a really delicate setting or a bug.
