How to integrate FCKeditor with Zen Cart 1.3.7?

Hi all.

I tried using this FCKeditor contribution http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&cPath=40_41&products_id=268

I am able to select FCKeditor in the drop down menu. But where the FCKeditor is supposed to be, I see a "page not found" same as what you get if you load a non-existant web page. Is this because this contribution is for Zen Cart 1.3.5 as it states?

The contribution works with 1.3.5, 1.3.6, and 1.3.7.

If you're getting "page not found" errors, then perhaps the editor files didn't upload successfully. -- did your FTP program experience some timeouts?

I'm having troubles with the ZenCart download of FCKEditor too. (I couldnt get FckEditor's Website download to work)

I have selected "FCKEditor" in Admin/MyStore.

Then in Tools/Newsletters I select "FCKEditor" and then "New Newsletter".

The editor shown in the attached screenshot appears. There is no Rich Text Editor!****! :shocking: Does anyone know what could've happened?

Now i have the latest plugin dated 10th August 2007 found on this page:

i have also added the small code mod. in admin/newsletters.php for newsletters given here:

http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58779

but still i get Object Not Found. when i go into the Admin area/Tools/New Newsletter

Could you post the full error message you are getting? e.g. Object not found in .... at line ... (assuming that there is such info).

It sounds like a permissions, missing files or files in the wrong place type of problem, but it's a while since I installed it, and other than the small code mod you noted, I've never had a problem with it.

I use the old 1.3.5 contrib for FckEditor, so I don't have any experience of the new release, but I did notice that the mod has a myfiles folder that has to be set to 777 permissions, and could certainly give that sort of error message. I would imagine the contents would need similar permissions.

Is the warning still valid for v 1.3.7?

I have a problem also. When i select it as my editor, and go to add or edit product, where the description text area is supposed to be i get :

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I also get this error when i try to edit a category:

Fatal error: Class 'FCKeditor' not found in /home/meadow69/public_html/shop/admin/categories.php on line 751

I don't get it. I thought maybe something didn't upload correctly so i re uploaded, still no go.
