Can't get the index.php to show up on live site

When I view my online catalog everything is great ,no warning messages about writing to the config.php, everything shows up like it suppose to. However when I go live after i rename the index.html like lunarpages says,(so site shows up)I get something different, the write to config.php shows up and the index.php is not the same. But if i type inthe site with /afewdrops.biz/zencart/index.php everything is fine but afewdrops.biz/index.php it is not. Can some one tell me what I did wrong or how to correct this?

Thank you

rename the index.html like lunarpages

What are they telling you to rename it to?

Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

Re: Can't get the index.php to show up on live site

There are few issues that need to be addressed.

  1. The 'index.html' page referred to is just a place-holder, provided usually for all new accounts. You can safely delete it.

  2. There appears to be two seperate ZenCart installations.
http://afewdrops.biz/index.php << shows the default theme
http://afewdrops.biz/zencart/index.php << shows your custom theme

The first theme URL does indeed need to have the permissions for 'includes/config.php' changed.

I would suggest you decide which theme URL is to be used, then remove the 'zencart' directory or, password protect it for future testing. I can only presume the 'zencart' directory was setup to install/test ZenCart before going live. As the first URL is better than the second, you should see about installing your custom Theme into that.

The learning is in the doing.
