Re: Probably a stupid question...

Yes you can if you understand the structure of the database. Be sure to backup first!

Re: Probably a stupid question...

For your products and categories yes. This is what Easy Populate does.

Re: Probably a stupid question...

That's the osCommerce Easy Populate and very unlikely to work for Zen Cart. This is the Zen Cart Easy Populate.

Re: Probably a stupid question...

It seems to be working ok when i go into easypopulate from the admin

i get a note under the fields..

Import Data from file in temp/

Warning: dir(/home/wholesal/public_html/temp/) [function.dir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/wholesal/public_html/admin/easypopulate.php on line 695

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/wholesal/public_html/admin/easypopulate.php on line 697

should i be concerned by this ^^

Re: Probably a stupid question...

Did you read and, if necessary, act upon the first bullet point under the title "IMPORTANT!!!" in the install.txt file?

Re: Probably a stupid question...

I'd throw that away. If you head back to the page from which you got it, it says> The file ep_v2_75_zen-cart_1_2.zip is the last version to be released by the previous contributor, and has some serious bugs (legacy code from the OsCommerce version). You are welcome to try it, but I will not support it. It does not work with php5, or register_globals=off, and has some severe data handling errors. You need the later version, available immediately below it, which works very well.
