to place my language selection at the top navigation place?

like
[HOME | ABOUT US | ENGLISH/FRENCH].

pls help me out....

In /includes/templates/your_template/common/template_header.php, add your selection code to the block that starts with <!--bof navigation display-->, as another list item.

It will be in one of your sidebox files. Look in Tools > Layout Boxes Controller for something like sideboxes/languages.php. If you can't locate the file directly, use the Developers Toolkit.
