paypal IPN orders not showing

I am stumped. I have Paypal IPN installed as the only payment module. When I use the Non Paypal CC payment that is under the Paypal login...all is fine...The items purchased are removed from my stock and I get payment. BUT, when I try and use Paypal, not the cc module, I get the payment but NO communication about an order. The order does not show up in the system but the money comes. This will be a nightmare. What can I do to fix that??

  1. If you're using v1.3.7, apply the latest PayPal patch.

Be sure to setup PDT according to the instructions.

  2. Make sure your server can receive noticed back from PayPal:

  3. Turn on debug logging for additional information:

  4. Pray that you're not using GoDaddy as a host.

I have the exact problem. Pay Pal credit card payment are coming through perfectly. The only issue I have is customers that actually log into paypal and pay that way. These orders are not in zencart. Have you found what caused it?

I am using Pay Pal IPN and all the patches seem to be Pay Pal express checkout! Or have I got that wrong??

I double check that I have everything set exactly correct in Paypal and in zencart.

I will try the debugging option.

Not using Godaddy host!

So I don't know what is wrong and why it is only not working for paypal login payment and not all paypal payments? Hopefully this can be resolved soon!

Thanks

oh! okay, I just got confused because the zip is named PPEC which I thought meant Pay Pal Express Checkout, but that make sense that it would be for both. Thanks for the info.

Thanks

Same problem, and using GoDaddy. Is there a solution? Mind you, some orders work fine and others are like the problem in this thread.

Re: paypal IPN orders not showing

You'll see a number of other discussions recently about problems with GoDaddy hosting and communication with external services such as PayPal, USPS, and so on. It could be a hosting problem.

If you disagree, follow the steps I listed in post #2 above, and post your logs as explained.
