Zen Cart with Sugar CRM / OSCommerce

Has anyone successfully integrated a CRM with Zen Cart?

I would like to use Sugar CRM and found there is a OSCommerce contribution for it.

There look like there is a post for Zen cart. But it doesn't make sense to me?

I am not opposed to other CRM systems. I just like the automation of sugar and the ability to like Office and Sugar together.

Any insight would be appreciated.

This has been on my todo list for many moons. Maybe it will percolate to the top in the third quarter. I'll let you know.

One of the post states:

"it should be easy to port this to zen cart. You will need to find the files to include the *.inc.php scripts. and you will need to modify those *.inc.php scripts so it uses the correct variables. thats about all you will need to do in terms of modification of the integration. "

Does this make sense?

When it comes to open source CRMs that integrate well with ZenCart, is SugarCRM the best one? We are looking for a powerful CRM that will integrate easily with our template system we are building in zencart, so the customers of our customers can be better managed by our template users.

Googling also presents some discussions about vtiger working with ZenCart??? Maybe there are others???

OR, is there a better way to do this... perhaps just using ZenCart?

Any suggestions or thoughts?

Yep, I'm looking into that as well for multiple future Zen Cart stores. Has anybody been playing with this? Are there other workable OS CRM solutions?

It seems obvious that zencart does not seem interested in building a method to integrate vtiger, sugar, etc CRMs with Zencart.

Does anyone have any suggestion on a plug-in CRM-lite module designed for Zencart that we can use to enhance ZenCart's limited CRM like functionality? Does this even exist? It should would be nice to not have to re-invent the wheel here.

I would say the dev team is focused on improving the e-commerce platform, not on linking it with other kinds of systems.

If any other teams want to build links or integrate systems, that would be great.
