Splitting the shopping cart off the main page...

I have a website totally separate from zencart.
So far I have stripped zc down to just product display.
My intent is to display that stripped down ZC via frames in key spots on my existing website.......

Here's the problem.

I would like to split the shopping cart off into a separate entity that will be constant on the pages as user jumps from page to page....
This way they can add something to the shopping cart - go to another page that will dynamically load different products into the store frame and add them also.

I think I have a handle on most everything except the loading of the shopping cart individually and it maintaining the products a user adds during their visit to my site.....

Any advice, thoughts, pointers to relevant docs or just plain :smartalec:help:smartalec:.
