incorrect price when product is entered

hi guys,
I'm new to Zencart so may be missing something quite simple here.

I've created my category and then I've went to insert my product, now my product costs £125 inc. UK VAT @ 17.5%.

Now when I enter this on the insert product page, it correctly calculates the net price at £106.383; however, when I click preview the price gets set at £56.27

Why is this?

You may have a percentage set to add to all prices somewhere. I think the setting is somewhere in the catalog settings, or the configurator settings. I'll have to look it up in the book to be sure.

But then you have to buy the book. hehe. It's right up in the top right if you really want to buy it. I'm looking it up for ya.

Thanks JP, the book is on its way but quite a bizarre thing.

I found it in admin. I left my estart book in the bedroom. ha.

It's the Products Price Manager menu under the catalog menu.

Check in there to see if there's a percentage or a value added to the price.

there's no % or value added to the product, I can't actually see that under Product Price Manager.

I'm working from the default install of the product with GBP set as the default currency. Could that be the problem?

got it licked - GBP was set to 0.52, set that to one and it worked fine.
