SEO URL problem from shopping cart

Hi

:frusty:I too get the same Forbidden error. But mine happens in the localhost.

When i click the product name (from my shopping cart), it cannot display the proper URL and can't display the product info page but it gives out error 403.

When i disable SEO it work fine.

When SEO is enable the URL is support to be..something-something-9-9-pi.html
but its gives out something-something-9-9-pi:9296348a7a68ed7a76e6089d16789463.html.

So how do I get the proper URL when the SEO is enabled?

Hi another thing is the error URL format displayed is constant.

E.g. The error URL is something-something-4-5-7:908jld8g9f89f073365656db.html

Its always followed by a semicolon (:) then the random numbers and letters.

Another thing is the SEO mod works fine from other pages except when clicking the product name from shopping cart page.

I also found out another thing, the url will appear like the above thread mentioned, FOR LINKED PRODUCT ONLY.

:unsure: I found another thing....it does not only happens to linked product but to any product that has ATTRIBUTE SETTINGS.

So anyone has any idea how to remove the random numbers and letters after the colon(:) sign?:frusty:

Somehow SEO URL cant interpret it into a valid file name.

This issue is related to special characters in URLs, such as ":". It can be workarounded by playing with urlencode() and urldecode() functions, but I am not using Ultimate SEO URL, so I have no direct fix.
Hope some PHP coder which is using Ultimate SEO URL help you.

Yes I am using ultimate SEO URL

The solution is to:- Install Version 3 - Version 3.0.0 Beta 1.

However Version 3 - Version 3.0.0 Beta 1 has other problems and its not FINAL.

:D I think I got the solution.

Just disable the URL link (buyer cannot click back to product description) then the error will not appear.

However will it affect another section?????

I gave up on the contributed versions some time ago, couldn't get any version to work with PayPal.

So I went with the commercial SEO Mod here:

It works! And with PayPal. Cost $89, but I've spent much more than that in time, effort and frustration with the contributed versions.
