No Admin After Ssl Installed?

Ok I got our SSL installed after 4 days of working with our host, but now our admin page will not come up, I just re-uploaded the admin file hoping this would fix the problem with no luck this is how our config file is setup.

I believe that is a typo, and should be the following:

make sure that you have actually uploaded the changed configure.php file

you may have to change the permissions on the includes/configure.php to 755 before you can upload then reset to 644 or lower

ok Merlinpa1969 I just double checked my settings in my config file deleted the one on the server and re-uploaded the one I just checked, with no luck I have been search the forum for some answers with no luck ether.

Hello guys, I have searched the forums for an answer to this with no luck. Any one have any other ideas that I may try? I'm willing to try just about anything right now, I have been working on this SSL thing now for 4 days I just want to be done with it, I'm in SSL certificate hell... lol

try switching back to the classic template see if that fixes the issue,
if so then you know that its a template issue

No that did not work ether, I just set the template to the classic template and did check out and same thing, I'm stumped.

I'm going to come at this from a different direction, I made a new folder on the server /store/ and uploaded a fresh right out of zip copy of zen-cart. I'm going to install this version in to a new folder with it's own database, this way I will know if it's zen-cart setup or SSL setup... I will let you know in a bit what I find out.

At last I got it working, I installed another copy of zen on the server and the SSL worked just fine and check out that really stumped me so I thought well maybe I edited one of the files some where and did not remember doing so. So I uploaded the hole new site, and steel nothing. What the hell grrrr… I kicked my system what’s going on everything is the same… I decided to compare the working configs with the non working configs just to see if there was any thing different about them, and there was.

In the admin’s config I changed
FROM

  define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false'); // true or false
  define('ENABLE_SSL_ADMIN', 'false'); // true or false

TO

  define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'true'); // true or false

And wallah it works :O) 4 days of hell well 3 days of hosting hell one day of config hell lol.

Glad you figured it out. I have been battling getting my SSL to work correctly too - mostly with my webhost, though they did respond and fix it quickly. Also had problems with my configuration files too. I do not actually use the Credit Card info section though (I use Paypal for processing my credit cards, so do not take the cc info on my site). Sometimes the multiplicity of files with the same filenames but different directories gets confusing.
