Selling e-books!

Good day!

I feel so stupid to ask this question, but I really dont know and this is the only thing standing in my way to finish my clients website.

So I installed Zen, I did everything, even created a category and I have the 4 e-book packages ready.

My customer sells e-books which he has categories, with a free copy of adobe acrobat reader. This is also in zip files, which then gets extracted and has a setup file which installs acrobat and gives a html gui for you to view the e-books.

Seeing that their is no shipping but a downloadable product, how do I disable shipping completely? And how do i disable the shipping fee?
Next how do I set the product as software and not as a physical product?
And lasltly, can Zen make it so that once the purchase has been completed, the customer can download the software immediately?

Im so sorry if im asking a historical question, but no such thing as a stupid question :)

Re: Selling e-books!

When setting up the Products, you must understand a couple of things about Downloads ...

Download Products:

1 Are NOT Virtual Products - mark this as **No, Shipping Address Required
**

2 Are NOT Always Free Shipping - mark this as No, Normal Shipping Rules

A Product with a Download automatically knows that there is no shipping by seeing the Download filename that is attached to the attribute ...

Download Products will automatically skip the checkout_shipping page ...

If an Order contains Physical Products and Download Products, the Shipping Modules are designed to adjust and not count the Download Product(s) in the charges ...
