Discount Coupon at Step 1 of Checkout?

Which code do i need to move to have the coupon code entry and redemption at the same step as entering delivery info?

I changed my checkout to only use 2 stages about a year ago. At step 2 the payment is processed using a custom module so the coupon cannot be redeemed there as it will not update the total amount in time

Any update on this? I need to do this exact same thing. Please let me know!

The code is written for this to be on the checkout_payment page vs checkout_shipping ...

What is it that you are trying to do on this?

We will be re-writting the checkout in a future release so it helps if you can be as specific as possible ... :smile:

Actually mine is slightly different...

I'm only accepting PayPal at this time and don't need a customer to create an account so on the Shopping Cart page right under the cart contents and total there is only a PayPal link to checkout.

I don't have customers going to the address/shipping/payment pages; therefore, the customer never sees the discount code area.

Please let me know if it is possible to move the discount coupon code to the shopping cart page. I think I need to move the <fieldset> area but if there is anything else I don't know what there is.

Is it possible to get the discount thats on the shopping cart (the stike-out price) also on the checkout confirmation page?
