Can't Get Store to Open after migrate to web

Hi

I just migrated from my localhost to my web server. I can get into Admin, but not the store.

I am getting this message:
Warning: require(DIR_WS_TEMPLATEStemplate_default/common/html_header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/.servername/acctname/magicfoxden.com/index.php on line 43

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'DIR_WS_TEMPLATEStemplate_default/common/html_header.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php') in /home/.servername/acctname/magicfoxden.com/index.php on line **43

**I do have the template_default/common/html_header.php in my store's include directory.

I've been working on and researching this for the past hour and am stuck. Where do I go now? Please point me in the right direction.

try to re-upload the file it may be corrupt

Thanks for the reply Merlin, unfortunately this attempted fix was unsuccessful.

I uploaded from both my local site and also from the original install files. Neither worked.

Next step?

Here is what I did to get me into this situation:

• installed 1.3.7 on local machine
• did my configurations and was satisfied with my local store
• backed up my local db
• installed 1.3.7 on remote
• deleted the zc_install folder
• uploaded all of my local files and overwrote what was on the remote
• confirmed that my config files were ok
• restored my db to remote
• went to store URL -- got the messages in question
• went to admin -- no problem getting inBased on Merlin's advice:
• re-uploaded the html_header.php
• re-upload from local store, then from local copy of installl files
• no luck

I am no further along than I was yesterday. I am dead in the water. Any clues?

Sorry, this is not my field of expertise.

However, I do notice that you have a call for

'DIR_WS_TEMPLATEStemplate_default/common/html_header.php'

which is messed up. DIR_WS_TEMPLATES should be replaced by the filepath leading to template_default. So it seems that your configure.php may not be entirely correct, or else the file looking for it is not looking correctly - probably the latter.

It looks to me like your paths are not done right. You need to ask your webhost what your server paths should be.

Another question...what did you use to put the files from your localhost to your webhost?

I took the path that was in the error message and overwrote the actual server name and acct name with servername/acctname. Where I have servername -- that's really my filer. I verified that the path was correct with my provider.

Another question...what did you use to put the files from your localhost to your webhost?I used SmartFTP Client.

there is no / between DIR_WS_TEMPLATES and template_default. Again, that's an issue with your paths in the config file. You forgot a / somewhere.

No, it's not that exactly. The DIR_WS_TEMPLATES is the name of a constant which should be replaced by its value (the real filepath). That value should end in a /.

this also happens if the server path is not correct,
such as httpdocs verses httpsdocs,

this is probably not the case here but is another cause for this error

I realize it's a constant that gets replaced. But the fact that it is showing up in the error message shows that there is still something wrong in the configs. It's not finding that constant to replace it.

The last post from Merlin got me to thinking about the config files. So, I went in and took a look. Turns out that in my updating of the configs to get the paths correct, I wound up putting the admin config into both the admin and the store.

I put the correct config file in the store and I am up and running. Please take a look at https://www.magicfoxden.com.

I had exactly the same problem when I tried to upgrade from 1.3.6 to 1.3.7 yesterday. The problem is that the upgrade instructions encourage you to press the "Upgrade Database" button, but don't make any mention of the "Upgrade Configuration" one to its left. Do that, and it will add the missing lines of config that are causing the script to fail.

While I'm on the subject, "3 EASY STEPS TO UPGRADE ZEN CART" is not really true. Step 1 took me ages!
