Mass Product Delete

Anyone know of a quick and easy way of deleting every product in my store?

If I delete the categories, will that automatically delete the products within them?

Go to the database admin and delete the table then re-create it.

Re: Mass Product Delete

Delete a Category and it will Delete the Product(s) and everything about it ...

While dropping and creating tables is another method ... there are many tables that must be addressed to clean things up ...

well, i have a category in the store that have the same products with different sizes and prices. i added the attributes to the them and i don't need most of them anymore because there is no need in them,, the total items in the category are 1190 item, i need to delete about 850+ item from,,,

how can i do this? its not an easy issue to delete them one by one, i used Easy Populate to upload my products and now i need to delete some of them,, well, a big part of them...

can any body help?

Regards

Depending on your connection speed, deleting items one at a time is not all that bad.

We have another site on Monster Commerce. All of a sudden one day every item in the db duplicated itself, without images, prices or descriptions so it was easy to identify which were the ghost items.

I deleted 365 items in about 1 1/2 hours. We have a satellite connection so the latency makes the Internet agonizing sometimes.

I had an issue with EZPopulate one time and had to UN-Link about 150 items once, took half a day.

Cheers

Re: Mass Product Delete

i think its better for me to delete the whole sub category and upload the items with EP then add the attributes again...

but what was the issue that faced you with EP?

for me EP made a problem , a big one, that it wasn't able to link the images to the products, in fact a certain names of the list, i don't know why these ones,, and they were above the half, so i had to move on them one by one on the list, but i used several tabs to finish the whole table " 10 items" at once, which was in a way better than one by one

but i think this point is really important, why i can't delete only one item at a time. like why wont they make a check list for the items in a sub category or category that we can check which item went wants to delete and delete them all at once...

regards

Re: Mass Product Delete

Use Easy Populate to move all the products you want to delete to a new category and then, after they are moved, delete the new category.
