Those are EZ-Pages ...
Use the Tools ... EZ-Pages ... and turn off what you don't want or delete it ...

Do I delete it from the stylesheet or through each individual page? If through the style sheet, which section do I take out without messing everything up.
I have ordered the book for this thing, but can't stand sitting idle, have fiddle with it a bit.
Thanks,
Janice

Turning off the pages worked-took care of the whole bar. But what about that brown ugly bar that says Home on it, can this be deleted?

What ugly brown bar? Zen Cart v1.3.7 is a green template ...

Maybe she's seeing the breadcrumbs background color from the template_default.
It's a brownish tan color.
Breadcrumbs can be set in Admin/Configuration/Layout Settings-- 4th setting
from the top. Janice, I hope you've set up and activated your own custom template ??

Yes, I did my own custom template. That is what I am working on. I did get the color change on that hideous brown bar, so it all looks the same now. I am very new at this and I know some of these questions are pretty amateurish at best. I have ordered the book and awaiting it's arrival. Hoping it opens many windows for me!
I do have a website already up and running https://www.thestitchintree.com but want more from the shopping cart, which is completely PayPal at this time. The gal that set up that website directed me to Zen Cart then proceded to tell me she knew nothing about it. So I am here pestering you guys. Does anyone have the book, and is it a GOOD reference?
Thank you all for your help, it is much appreciated.

Oh, and I just did that bread crumb thing and it got rid of it all together. I am learning a little bit at a time. Have patience with me!

Good deal, Janice!
The book is excellent, and will pay for itself in the time you'll save setting
up your Zen Cart.
Lookin' forward to seeing your new shop in the showcase.

Hi Linda,
You seem to know a lot about Zen Cart and I've read many of your posts and they have been very helpful - Thanks!
Question for you, I'm hoping you can answer. The Information box on the Home page of my online store shows links to the Privacy Notice, Shipping and Returns etc. I've read posts on how to change the names of the links but for the life of me can't find out how to locate the files that contain the text.
I need to add my own Privacy Notice and Shipping and Returns info, so far I've created the text in notepad but now I don't know where to put the text so when a customer clicks on the Privacy notice link for example it shows my information.
Any help you can provide would be really appreciated. Cheers!

First, it's usually a good idea to start a new thread when you have a question, rather than adding a post to a very old thread like this one. You can do that by going to the 'start' page of whatever forum applies.
All those pages can be edited by going to Admin - Tools - Define Pages Editor.
Tell staff why this post should be reviewed.
