Which directory should I install zencart in?

Is it a good idea to install zencart in a subdirectory (such as something named "store") in case you want to make a different home page later on at the root directory, or do most people just install zencart in the root directory?

Matter of personal taste.. have installed both ways.. zencart works
equally well with either option

Re: Which directory should I install zencart in?

I just installed it in a subdirectory called store because it was giving an error when I tried to install it in the root (said there was already a script there but I didn't see any) and I didn't feel like messing with it! So would I just redirect the domain name to www.domain.com/store then and will that cause any problems later on?

If zencart is working correctly using folder /store/ then redirecting
main domain name should work without problems
