Online Group Pricing is compatible?

Hello to all,

I would like to ask you some questions about this Contribution for Zen Cart

I have versione 1.3.7, I’ve tried to installed it without success.

I haven’t errors but I need to see the price discount when the customer made login and not at the end, when you have checkout.

So, which is the problem? Maybe 1.3.7 is not compatible?

I’ve copied all the file, update mysql and update the contribution, but nothing!

At point 3 the author has written to activate the method.

In Group Pricing, I haven’t nothing, I have only the name (for the discount) and the % of discount.

I think here there are some problems.

Can you help me?

Thank you and good day

1.) Apply the sqlupdate to the zenCart database - please be sure, that the tablenames are correct.

The file is having the zen_ prefix in front of the tables - if you use another prefix you

have to edit the sql patch!

2.) Simply copy the new files of this archive over the original zen_cart files and

disable GroupPricing in the Order_Totals menu of the shopadministration

3.) At GroupPricing you have to activate the method of calculation you wish to have

Method one: Price * (1 - (GrouPricingPercent/100))

Method two: Price / (1 + (GrouPricingPercent/100))

"The file is having the zen_ prefix in front of the tables - if you use another prefix you have to edit the sql patch!"

This sounds like it is set up to detect and use any prefix you have applied to your database tables. As I understand, this ability will only work properly if run through the Tools > Install SQL patch, not directly through phpMyAdmin. Or alternatively this may function if run directly, and add an extra prefix if run through Tools > Install SQL Patches - the language is ambiguous.

"I’ve ... update mysql"

What method did you use to do this?

Hello, thank you for your reply
I have zen_ prefix in all the database, so I think isn't this the problem.
In the table zen_group_pricing, now I have this:

group_id group_name group_percentage group_method last_modified date_added

So, the update is good but I don't understood which is the problem.

Thank you

Re: Online Group Pricing is compatible?

I see - I misread zen_ prefix to be a title for a generic prefix for Zen Cart databases, instead of a prefix called "zen_".

Apparently the mod assumes that Zen Cart databases are set up with a prefix. That part of the mod would be cleaner if it was written without prefixes; then patches installed through Tools > Install SQL Patches would automatically have the right prefix added, or none if no prefix is used.
