At the present time, editing details of an order, including shipping address is not an option via the admin interface.

Re: change shipping address of order in admin? Possible?

You can manually change address information for a sales record in the database. There are other methods of accomplishing the same thing but the following works for me:

  • Login to your MySql database using phpMyAdmin (this is usually available through your web host control panel).
  • Bring up your database in phpMyAdmin.
  • In the list of tables on the left side, scroll down and select "orders".
  • At the top of the right panel, select "Browse".
  • Browse through the orders until you find the correct order number in the column headed 'orders_id'. In most cases, you will want to jump to the last record and scroll backward to find the order. It's much faster that way. To start at the last record, click the >> button. (those who are proficient with SQL will simply create a query to find the record faster)
  • Click the pencil shaped icon in the second column for the record you want to change. Make whatever changes are needed in the 'value' column for each field. Note there are three separate groups of fields that contain addresses. They are for customer, delivery (shipping) and billing address info. Make changes in the delivery address, and if applicable to the other entries.
  • When finished click any of the "Go" buttons to save your changes.
  • Make similar changes in the 'address_book' table (select from left side of screen). You won't find an 'order_id' field here, so skip down to the last record and then scroll back through the records looking for the customer's name.
  • Check that the changes are correct by viewing order record in admin (refresh you browser). If ok, exit out of phpMyAdmin. If you want to check that the customer's address book was updated correctly you need to go into the system by simulating the customer login. The easiest way to do this is to have the 'Master Password Crypted' contribution installed and log in with the master password and customer's email address.
