Manufacturer's Information

Is there a way that the information of a manufacturer can be added to the top of the table, the same way that a category information is added and layed out?

The url is of a screenshot, showing a sample of what I would like the manufacturer's info to carry. If there was a way to set up the manufacturer's info to be like the category info.

Notice, this shows the category (brake-fast bowls) information, not the manufacturer (Brake-fast bowls) information.

It would be great to have this info displayed when customers search by manufacturer.

This is the url to the page when searched by the manufacturer, showing only the info available from the Manufacturer category. Not much for the customer to go by.

It would be great if the customer could view the info that is displayed when searching by category.

I have spent about four weeks working on our new site, and have got manufacturers working in the same way as categories.

Take a look at www.soluka.com

In our context, a furniture range is a manufacturer. You can go into the site by category or range, and if you go by range, the mfg info sidebox appears.

This is my first attempt at Zen Cart, so the 'hacks' may not be up to standard - but I have done it all in the 'custom' template structure. If you feel up to it, I can let you have a copy of my hacks.

PS I am left with one problem, which someone may be able to help with.
If you go in by manufacturer (range on the site) the top-line breadcrumbs eventually swicth back to category and the prev-next buttons work on category rather than range. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
