Fatal error: includes/counter.php on line 23

Hello, If you read my early posting you know I have installed this correctly in one domain name but tried repeatedly to install it in a second domain and have hit many problems.

Today I did a fresh download of zen-cart-v1.3.7.1-full-patched-07052007.zip in a new folder and another computer in our office to make sure I had all new files to download.

I uploaded all files use FTP Filezilla and did all the directions. I can get in the admin page just fine. However at the store page http://printableshop.com/download/ I get:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/printabl/public_html/download/includes/counter.php on line 23

I downloaded includes/counter.php from the server and open it in Notepad++. Line 23 says::

$counter = $db->Execute($counter_query);

Which might as well be greek to me.

I looked at the file before I uploaded it on line 23 and it also says ::

$counter = $db->Execute($counter_query);

So I see no point in re-uploading the same file over again.

Can someone please advice me on what to do??

I went back and re ftp'ed up the includes file and now I can get the store but the admin page was not giving me error so I re - ftp'ed in the admin files and reinstalled. Even used a new database. However I am get on the admin log in page

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: cache in /home/printabl/public_html/download/admin/includes/init_includes/init_database.php on line 14

Advice?

yes it was installed in a file called download since I was selling downloaded but I worked on it four hours today and getting no where.

I re-installed it fresh again even a new download and now i have

It went perfectly in http://www.mymomsbreak.com/shop/ so I have no idea why I can't install it in printableshop.com

They are on the same dedicated server so I don't get it at all!!

Honestly, I GIVE UP!! I got tickets to Harry Potter movie tomorrow morning so Monday I will decide where to go from here.

Question: If I ftp the whole folder out of mymomsbreak.com where it is correct and ftp the whole folder up to printableshop.com

Do a restall using a new database could that work? Since I know the files at mymomsbreak are correct?

or I might try another un-used .com to see if it work there to see if something wrong with this one control pannel. Can can't see how only one control panel would be back -- but it is thought!!

It's extremely difficult to answer questions when you change the situation before an answer can be given.

Like Ajeh, I think your problem is the path(s) you have created not matching both configure.php files.

Take a chill pill and give us a look at your includes/configure.php WITHOUT any passwords. Just copy and paste it into a quote here.

And, please, allow us to comment on what we find before making any changes.

If you installed this and it would not work ... then installed again in another directory and it would not work ...

1 you have bad configure.php files

2 you have a bad upload

How are you loading Zen Cart v1.3.7.1 and where did you get it from?

I see your point and I wish I had time to chill.

But my business is how I make my living. I have a family to support. I need more income coming in and if I wait around i will not be set up in time for September holiday shopping considering I make all the download products myself.

This is a test run for me to see to see how easy it is to solve problems. If I get a error and can pop the problem in an knowledge base and get an answer then I will be great. I figure when I bought the zencart book that there would be a chapter of errors and here is how to fix them. However there is not.

I have to look at this because what if I get an error or problem in mid November, will my store have to stop and end up loosing customers while I wait for an forum answer .. could this take days?

I would love nothing more than to find a to sell download shopping cart I could buy and pay for customer service but I can't find one. They are all copy and paste codes your web page and when you send the customer service a test question they copy and paste an answer for the help section.

I just meet with my tax & business adviser yesterday and very soon the Dem congress is not going re-new the Bush small business tax cuts which means I have to pay out more money. Which means I have to find another source of income.

I am taking off work till Monday and will decide then how to deal with this.

I am downloading it from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=83781&package_id=171544 and have downloaded it four times, upzipped in a new file and fip using filezilla

Sorry, I am just so very very ticked off I can't find a service I can just pay to set up what I need. I have tired hiring programmers (leads to horror stories) & my normal company does not do shopping carts. I have tried to find good ecommercial web hosting and countless other why to do this to sell dowloadable files and I feel like I am beating my head on a brick wall.

I have one more thing I am trying then I think I will just go with a service like lulu.com. I wanted it on my own server but I simple do not have a skills to do this nor can I find a good programmer to hire.

Sorry - Just venting. I have been looking for a way to sell download for over a :censored: year now and getting tired of hitting brick walls.

Venting is fine but you might vent by giving us a look at your configure files. If FTP has all the files in place, the chances are 99.9% that it is your configure.php.

I'll ask once more if you can post both here without any passwords.
