Product listing different colour per row

I have a challenge regarding the productlisting.

Every Zen Cart site i see has a nice productlisting with switching colours every row. Also the products have a little space and a border around them so the pictures won´t touch eachother like in my store (shop.globalplant.hu)
Can anybody help me setting up a good product listing?

thanks
