Wacked out store link

I have searched and searched, but couldn't find an answer to this one, so I'm asking the experts! In the e-mail generated by Zen Cart when funds are released for gift vouchers, they include a line that says:
You recently purchased a Gift Certificate from our online store.
http://eyecandey.com/cart/

However, that link does not go to my store, it goes to the Index of cart page with all the links to access the admin, etc. How can I change this link to add the index.php on the end which would take them to my store, or can I just eliminate this link altogether? Any advice would be appreciated. Been working on this one for a while with no solutions.

Thanks!!

Re: Wacked out store link

First ... check with your hosting site to determin why your domain cannot run php from default files such as index.php when not included in the URL ...

Next ... the email should have a full path to the Gift Certificate Redemption page and your's does not ...

Either your template is bad or you have bad or missing or corrupt files on the server or something else that is causing the Gift Certificate URL to not be created on the emails ...

What happens in the Admin if you go to the:
Gift Certificate/Coupons ... Mail Gift Certificate ...

and mail yourself a Gift Certificate?

Re: Wacked out store link

Thanks for the quick reply Ajeh! When I sent myself a GC the e-mail had a link to the redeem GC page and that link works. (Actually it sent 2 GC's, don't know why, with 2 different redemption codes). I don't know why that information wasn't in the e-mail sent when purchased through the cart

Re: Wacked out store link

What add-ons do you have on your site?

You are running Zen Cart v1.3.7.1 ...

Clean install or an upgrade?

How did you install? How did you upgrade?

Re: Wacked out store link

It was a clean install, not an upgrade. The only add-on would be the mod for product info column grid. I haven't added anything else. I have my host looking into the issue about running php from default files. Otherwise I'm not sure what else I can do! I installed through Fantastico.

Re: Wacked out store link

I just went to you site and it reported the the configure.php was not read-only or write protected.
Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/joy3/public_html/cart/includes/configure.php.

Just thought I would let you know

Re: Wacked out store link

I would recommend getting the current version of Zen Cart v1.3.7.1 and loading it to your site manually via FTP ...

This link will get you to the current version:

Re: Wacked out store link

John - thanks for the heads up - fixed the permissions on that file. My host inserted that after fixing another issue that I had.

Ajeh, if I'm already running v1.3.7.1, should I load all of the files manually? I looked at the link you gave me and it looks like it for patches to this version. Do I need to just install the patches, or do you recommend me to reinstall everything? (I've gotta say this scares me - I've been using overrides to the best of my ability, but it makes me nervous all the same!!)

Re: Wacked out store link

Backup your whole site ...

Load Zen Cart v1.3.7.1 ...

Test site ... what ever might break you have a copy of and can discover now, rather than later, where you might have missed something on an override ...

Meanwhile this should ensure you have all files loaded correctly ...
