How to configure the payment method -- how do I get money from my customers?

yes i know that the configuration is rather easy but i simply dont know how does the payment work . I went to authorized.net and read for a while and i got what it does...but where do i put my account so that when the customer wants to buy something, the money goes to me and not anywhere else???
