How do I move images to a new folder?

This is an easy one Im sure...( i hope too!)

So far all my normal sized images, are directly in my "images" folder.
I'd like to move them into their own "images/brand1" and "images/brand2" type folders. Then of course doing that with Large and Medium folders also.

Question: Is there a way to redirect all my products, to point to the new location. Rather than going into each product listed and resellecting the image location?

There is no built-in automated way to rename the path to all your images.

However, updating the image path in each product will automatically have it look for the corresponding subfolder for the medium & large images.

So, you need to:

1. Use your FTP program to move all your images into the new folders
2. Update all products so that their image path points to the new subfolder

Ah thanks. I was hoping there would be a way around changing each product listing, as I have a few thousand to do. Might just leave them where they are me thinks! Appreciate the reply. Saved me time wondering!
