USPS will not return International postage costs for me

USPS will not return International postage costs.
I am using Version 1.3.7 and I am in production mode with USPS.
All US domestic rates are returning properly and at the new rates.
I have tried 3 addresses in Canada, 1 in Germany, 1 in Australia ans 1 in Great Britian.
UPS is working perfectly and I have uninstalled and reinstalled USPS twice.
Called USPS tech line and they said I was alright on their end and that they were not blocking International lookups.

Kind of stumped here!

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I'd load the v1.3.7.1 upgrade ...

The USPS module was updated in May for the new server and price changes ...

NOTE: you need to uninstall and reinstall and configure it to have it work once it is loaded to your site ...

Our download was only 4 weeks ago - would we not have gotten the latest then??

No, v1.3.7 has been out for some time now ...

That had the old USPS shipping module in it and none of the fixes from v1.3.7.1 ...

We installed V1.3.7.1 and the USPS is functioning properly

hi folks, we upgraded the shipping module, not zen cart, but we are having problems with charging TOO much for international shipping. for instance, the weight is right, 6 oz, but zen cart calculated $8.40 for shipping to the UK, but when we went to endicia it was only 5 bucks. so we went to the post office and the lower amount was correct. we do NOT have the tare on either. anyhelp out there?

Oh crap. I have this problem to. So, I need to upgrade to 1.3.7.1? That is the only way to fix it?

I am worried now. I spents weeks installing and configuring add-ons and mods to build this cart. If I upgrade, I am basically having to start all over again?

I would look into upgrading to v1.3.7.1 but ... you could just Remove USPS from your current Zen Cart ... Install the new USPS from the v1.3.7.1 Zen Cart ... and then configure it ...

But when v1.3.8 comes out you will want to do an upgrade ... :smile:

I need to do this too, but how do you pick out this one item rather than doing the entire upgrade? I am worried that by doing the upgrade I will override all the setting I have worked so hard on.

Install from v1.3.7.1 the files:
/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php
/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/usps.php

Install and Configure as usual ... :smile:

This works like a charm to fix my international shipping issue. Thanks:clap:
