Alternate font color on product listing?

My client/friend would like to have alternating font colors on the product lisitngs pages.

What codes do I need to place in the css stylesheet to make this happen?

I'm not sure if she wants the title colors to alternate or titles and descriptions.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Alternate font color on product listing?

Most of the text colour is dictated via the heading attributes
example:

h1 {
font-size: 2em;
color: #ffffff;
}

When ever you see the code color:#blabla; this is a text colour
Just change the one you want. It is more than likely the h1 that your client wants changed

Re: Alternate font color on product listing?

h1 {
font-size: 2em;
color: #ffffff;
}

And to have one color for the first product and then a different color for the second, then back to the first color, ad infinitum so it would look like this:

Products 1 of 5

PRODUCT #1 (color one)
blah blah

PRODUCT #2 (color two)
blah blah

PROCUT #3
blah blah

PRODUCT # 4
blah blah

and the color change would continue thru the end of the product list.

Clear as mud????

Thanks.

Re: Alternate font color on product listing?

you SHOULD be able to use the itemTitle slightly modified to itemTitle-odd and itemTitle-even.

I say should because I can't get it to work with your template. It's so far off the beaten path:blink:

There are several errors in your CSS, the most important of which is your method of selecting colors. Your CSS is set to "comment out the unwanted colors" but it was done incorrectly. If you remove the " / " off, say blue, you need to remove the " / " from the beginning of " /* eof blue */ "

There are several instances where comments are done incorrectly.

Also, once you get past the comments, you'll find a space between 1024 px in the call for #logo around line 394; a bad call for .clearfix; and #transparent is not a valid background for the centerBoxHeading.

If you can get a copy of TopStyle Lite, it should help you fix the problems.
