NO matter what I do...

I am trying to call a class from the CSS spread sheet.

On categories_tpl page, I am trying to call a css class I created in the css spreadsheet file

How I am calling it from the categories_tpl.php page

<table><tr><td class="catsep" />lol</td></tr></table>

how it looks in the spreadsheet.css file

.catsep {
border-bottom-style: dashed ;
border-bottom-color: #CCCCCC;
border-bottom-width: 2px; }

Its jsut, nothing is happening? AM I calling it wrong?

Re: NO matter what I do...

I what it shoud look like is have a bottom border that is dashed for that table cell. BUt nothing is happening to the cell, looks like theres no class attached to it at all.

Re: NO matter what I do...

This doesn't look right:

<td class="catsep" />lol</td>

I'm not familiar with table use, but the / after catsep should probably not be there.

(Of course, the bigger question is why you are trying to use tables to style the categories box...)

Re: NO matter what I do...

I dunno, I was trying to get the CSS to work. For some reason it jsut won't work no matter if I use tables or not..

I want to achieve a similar look to the cats section on this site.

Thanks

Check the downloads section for jettrue's contrib that adds dividers

Re: NO matter what I do...

Try the Categories Dressing mod.
You can use your own image for a bullet, and style the categories with a
border-top: 1px dotted #cacaca;

In addition to that, there is other functionality built in there that, after a category has been selected, hides all top cats on the categories box and only shows the subcats of the selected top cat. This is possible in Zen Cart; I have written code for a similar function for someone here.
